OUR MISSION
Our society represents ophthalmologists involved in the care of glaucoma patients in Singapore.
Founded in January 2020, the Glaucoma Association of Singapore (GLAS) is an independent, impartial and ethical organization for glaucoma science and care. GLAS is also a member of the Global Glaucoma Network of the World Glaucoma Association.
GLAS is the first unique virtual association of its kind and pledges to provide instant connectivity for members, which is unattainable in conventional societies.
Our goals are to :
SHARE KNOWLEDGE
GLAS will be an important source of continued education for members. As a virtual association, GLAS will be highly accessible to everyone at anytime, and at any place in the world.
PROMOTE RESEARCH
We will provide a platform for collaborative research activities. GLAS strives to impart the latest thinking and emerging research findings that will shape clinical practise in the future.
FACILITATE BETTER PATIENT CARE
We will develop clinical guidelines through consensus and open dialogue which are appropriate for Singaporean glaucoma specialists in accordance with best care and service
ADVOCATE FOR PATIENTS
We will advocate for glaucoma patients.
Through GLAS channels of information and associated links, public awareness and the recognition of glaucoma burden in Singapore will increase
REPRESENT SINGAPORE GLAUCOMA DOCTORS INTERNATIONALLY
We will represent Singaporean glaucoma specialists at international meeting

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all Singapore registered ophthalmologists who have completed a glaucoma fellowship training with successful completion thereof certified by the Fellowship Program Director.
An entrance fee and annual subscription is payable
